Step motor driver + power supply enclosure

So far we decided not to sell an enclosure. The enclosure is by far the most expensive component and shipment costs make it twice to three times as expensive. We advise to buy an enclosure locally or on ALI-Express.

The enclosure needs a lot of holes for ventilation, power switch protective earth and connectors. If you buy an enclosure on ALI-express or locally it does not contain any holes so you end up drilling a lot of holes anyway.

For this reason it is advantageous to build a metal crap to cradle enclosure yourself as shown in video part 4 of the post on “EMI and Reliability” (enclosure dimensions in part 4 video are 150x150x250 mm)

Invest the shipment cost you saved in a nice pop-rivet plier + drill set to do some “popping”
